Mt Lofty Summit
Well worth a detour on your way to or from Stirling, Mount Lofty Summit is the highest point of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Each year more than 350,000 people visit the peak to enjoy spectacular panoramic views across Adelaide’s city skyline to the coast. The Summit complex features an accredited visitor centre open daily from 9am to 5pm, as well as a restaurant/cafe. Mt Lofty Summit is also a great place to join one of several walking trails through native bushland, including a section of the Heysen Trail, South Australia’s iconic walking trail that covers 1,200 kilometres from Cape Jervis in the Fleurieu Peninsula to Parachilna Gorge in the Flinders Ranges.
