Every approach to Stirling is visually superb. Just minutes from the city, it’s a simple commute and a must-see for anyone setting out on day-trip adventures. It’s become an ideal place to visit, as families enjoy the pleasures of a drive through the Adelaide Hills.

Take the region’s many scenic routes and you’ll find sensational views at every turn. Travelling by bus, taxi or private car, Stirling can be quickly and effortlessly reached in just 10 minutes on the South Eastern Freeway.

If you find the journey as important as the destination, take Greenhill Road, Norton Summit Road or Old Norton Summit Road for a wonderful Hills drive. Discover some of the beautiful back roads the Hills are famous for, travelling through Coromandel Valley, Belair or Montacute. See the Morialta Falls and the views from Mount Lofty, wind your way through bountiful orchards and market gardens, geometric vineyards and imposing forests, sleepy hamlets and patchwork farmland – every drive is a delight.

If you’re travelling by bus, take the 863, 864, 865, 866, 867 or 868 to and from the city. To head back to Adelaide, bus stops are located outside the Stirling Hotel and Steamroller Park. Tickets are available from Oak Tree Plaza Newsagency (opposite Steamroller Park) or on the bus.
